Birthday song

This morning when I went to get Caleb up, the first thing he said to me was "Mama, I want to change clothes." O-K. It seems like just yesterday he was learning to talk and then just 3-4 word sentences, but now I can have a conversation with him. Of course, how clearly he talks and puts sentences together has a lot to do with how rested he is. I'm the same way, though. It's really apparent after I've worked a night shift and try to give report to the next nurse. I slur my speech and try my hardest to pronounce some of those crazy medical terms that I had no problem with at the begining of the shift.

Caleb was drawing on some paper and I guess he was proud of his work because he lifted his hand in the air and said "ta-da!". I have no idea where he got that from but it cracked me up.

Caleb has also been singing the "birthday song" as he calls it. "Momma...birthday song?", he asks. Usually he tells me "no song, momma" meaning please quit singing mom. Apparently he is ok with me singing the birthday song with him. Of course, he always sings "happy birthday dear Jayden....". No other name is allowed in the birthday song.
